Zoy Frangos: Variations

Music Theatre star Zoy Frangos is the son of a Greek migrant father and Indigenous Australian mother, and is in many ways a ‘typical’ Australian.

Variations chronicles Zoy’s own personal family and musical story through the lens of his cross cultural upbringing.

He was an original cast member of the world’s first Indigenous opera, Pecan Summer, composed by Deborah Cheetham AO, toured Australia in Les Misérables, played Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, performed alongside Tina Arena in Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s EVITA and was the 2019 American Australian Association Rising Star.

Zoy is joined on stage by his darling wife and fellow Music Theatre star Elisa Colla (Wicked, My Fair Lady, A Little Night Music) and accompanied by the brilliant Richard Chew and some of the countries best musicians. Zoy’s rich tenor soars through the songs of Lloyd Webber, Elvis, Ennio Morricone, George Dalaras and many more, intertwining them with thought provoking and humorous stories. Be blown away by his variations on classic songs like ‘Bring Him Home’, ‘If I Loved You’ and his Wemba Wemba language version of ‘Anthem’.
