MEDIA RELEASE • 19 OCTOBER 2022

Geelong Arts Centre is thrilled to present the 2023 Creative Learning program for kindergarten, primary and secondary school students from across the G21 region.

Delighted to have seen so many teachers and students keenly participating in Creative Learning workshops, theatre experiences and festivals in 2022, Geelong Arts Centre is excited to announce a brand new range of dynamic, multi-arts experiences in 2023.

The Creative Learning program offers teachers a unique and creative way to explore key themes and ideas embedded within the Victorian curriculum, ranging from sustainability to First Nations and immigration.

With the aim of offering a diverse suite of programs ranging from music to movement, puppetry and theatre, the program offers affordable and enriching educational arts experiences that are immersive and fun.

The Creative Learning program is designed to spark a love for the creative industries among students and open them to a world of opportunity.

An integral component of Geelong Arts Centre’s offering, Creative Learning is supported by professional theatre makers, technicians and artists.

The various workshops and performances offer both incursion and excursion options to enable participation from all schools.

A key element of the 2023 Creative Learning program is the chance for educators to engage in professional learning opportunities.

Geelong Arts Centre acknowledges the power of bringing teachers together to network, share ideas and to support the development of their own creative practice.
