Geelong Arts Centre seeks local participants to join new large-scale dance work Us And All Of This

MEDIA RELEASE • 15 NOVEMBER 2022

Geelong Arts Centre, Arts Centre Melbourne, and Bunjil Place are each seeking 100 local participants to take part in a large-scale, meditative, and sculptural public dance work throughout March and April 2023.

Us And All Of This by Liesel Zink is a community dance performance in a public space that explores togetherness, community and the gentle act of shared creation.

This project is seeking willing and curious participants of various ages (15+), ethnicities, genders, body types and abilities who love to move and are keen to be involved in an epic, once-in-a-lifetime event. No dance experience is necessary.

Us And All Of This will forge the space for a diverse collection of people to gather, learn and work with award-winning choreographer and creator, Liesel Zink and renowned sound artist and composer Lawrence English.

Volunteers will take part in series of five gentle yet rejuvenating dance workshop-style rehearsals, and will learn a range of choreographic and improvisational sequences that lead to the final performance.

The ultimate outcome will be collaborative, community-driven project, performed across three urban public spaces in Geelong, Melbourne and Narre Warren.
