For one night only on Friday 22 March, John Foreman and the Australian Pops Orchestra will grace Costa Hall with musical theatre stars Marina Prior, Michael Cormick and Jemma Rix for the Best of Broadway.
Following the success of last year’s sell out performance Leading Ladies, John Foreman and the 30-piece Australian Pops Orchestra will illuminate Costa Hall once more in a stunning display of musicianship, celebration and laughter.
The dazzling concert of Broadway hits and fabulous show-tunes will be performed by a glittering line up of star performers, including Australia’s First Lady of Song, Marina Prior; extraordinary baritone and international superstar, Michael Cormick; and the incredible Jemma Rix, known best for her leading roles as Elphaba in Wicked and Elsa in Frozen.
Best of Broadway is a memorable night in the theatre, celebrating the songs, stories and triumphs that are synonymous with the wonderful world of Broadway.

About the cast
Marina Prior is regarded as one of Australia’s leading ladies of musical theatre. Best known for her lead role in The Phantom of the Opera and Cats, she has also performed with international stars including Richard Harris and Jose Carreras. Well known for her Carols by Candlelight performance each year, she was recently seen on the ABC TV series The Divorce. In 2006, Marina was honoured with an induction into Australia’s 100 Entertainers of the Century.
Michael Cormick is an internationally renowned singer and actor with a diverse career throughout Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe. Michael’s extensive career in Australia includes: Beauty and the Beast (The Beast, opposite Hugh Jackman as Gaston) – for which he won an Australian MO Award. His highly regarded international credits include lead roles in The Phantom of the Opera (Raoul), Calamity Jane (Wild Bill Hickok), Romeo & Juliet (The Prince).
Jemma Rix is another prominent leading lady amongst Australia’s musical theatre stages, having starred in the stage hits Wicked and Ghost. Best known to the public for her portrayal of Elphaba in Wicked, performing throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia, covering Singapore, Korea and the Philippines, Jemma received a Helpmann Award nomination and won a Theatre People Pro Choice Award for her unforgettable Elphaba, captivating audiences far and wide with her portrayal of the green witch.
John Foreman OAM is a musical director, pianist and composer, who has played integral roles behind the scenes of the likes of Australian Idol, Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight, The Sydney Orchestra’s 2000 Olympic Opening Ceremony and many more impressive music demonstrations.
