Alinta and the Jazz Emperors preside over a soulful empire of jazz. We’re talking five very fine musicians in a band that is always more than the sum of its parts. Inspired by the old greats of Coltrane, Ella and Miles. Alinta is a charismatic vocalist/actress/songwriter who has just finished touring in Chicago the musical as the famed Velma Kelly and has also starred in West Side Story, Hugh Jackman’s – Broadway to Oz, Wentworth and many more.
Dutch tenor saxophonist, composer and band leader Remco Keijzer has been leading his original bands through Europe, Australia and the US and has released three original albums since moving to Australia and has just finished touring with Michael Bublé
With the Jazz Emperors they bring a contemporary twist, engaging audiences on a trip between classic and contemporary.
