MEDIA RELEASE • 14 OCTOBER 2020

Geelong Arts Centre is proud to present the ‘full theatre performance’ pre-record of A Migrant’s Son. For one night only, Thursday 22 October 2020 hosted as a part of Geelong Arts Centre’s #WhereCreativityMeetsAtHome series, audiences will be treated to this incredible story.

A Migrant’s Son was due to be performed as a part of the Geelong Arts Centre 2020 Deakin University Theatre Season but was cancelled due to COVID -19. We are delighted to still be able to virtually host this moving, true story of heart, hilarity and hard work featuring original music written and performed by Michaela Burger.

#WhereCreativityMeetsAtHome is a Geelong Arts Centre initiative bringing performances and creative activities to the comfort of audiences’ very own homes, with a view to ensuring all arts lovers have the opportunity to experience stories that challenge, entertain and inspire during this unprecedented time.

While this live-streamed event is free, Geelong Arts Centre encourages donations, large and small, to support the regional arts organisation in delivering digital arts experiences to the community.

#WhereCreativityMeetsAtHome is proudly supported by Major Artistic Partner, Deakin University.

Tune in via the arts centre’s website and Facebook Live event.

Audiences are encouraged to share their at-home theatre experience by tagging @GeelongArtsCentre and using hashtags #AMigrantsSon #WhereCreativityMeetsAtHome
