Geelong Arts Centre is delighted to share a glimpse into their engaging and inspiring 2021 Creative Learning program for kindergarten, primary and secondary school students.
The events of 2020 have forced educators to adapt and re-adapt across ever-changing teaching environments. To assist teachers in getting a head start with planning the year ahead, Geelong Arts Centre is pleased to offer a sneak peek into the 2021 Creative Learning program.
The Creative Learning program is an integral component of Geelong Arts Centre’s offering.
With the aim of delivering programs that inspire children of all ages, and granting the Greater Geelong region access to affordable and enriching educational arts experiences, the Creative Learning program is designed to help spark a love for the creative industries among students, and open them to a world of opportunity.
Creative Learning offers students and educators the opportunity to engage with an array of Victorian Curriculum-aligned digital resources, including supporting worksheets for classes.
Professional learning opportunities also extend to teachers, with creative conversations and workshops on offer throughout the year.

With every program, students have an opportunity to make, share, play and present a multitude of arts activities, facilitated by professional artists and technicians and delivered in professional, state-of-the-art theatre spaces. Incursion and excursion activities range from student workshops to professional performances.
FOR TEACHERS
CREATIVE CONVERSATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL LEARNING
Teachers will have the opportunity to engage in creative conversations and professional learning workshops throughout the year, as well as acess to engaging resources to assist in building lesson plans, inspiring student curiosity, and igniting meaningful conversations in the classroom.
