MEDIA RELEASE • 7 JUNE 2022

Committed to providing creative and engaging activities for young people, The Australian Ballet Education and Outreach team will present fun and creative dance workshops for all levels in the upcoming July school holidays.

From July 5-7, whether you've got an experienced ballerina or a first-time dancer, children of all ages and abilities can expect to move, have fun and be creative in these tailored dance workshops!

The workshops are designed to support confidence, resilience and teamwork skills for all individual needs and skill levels in a fun environment.

With four workshops to choose from, participants will have the opportunity to take part in:

  • Dancing Story | 3-5 year olds
  • Prep to Grade 2 Dance Workshop | 6-8 year olds
  • Upper Primary Dance Workshop | 9-12 year olds
  • Teen Dance Workshop | 13-16 year olds

Teen dancers are required to have some level of dance experience. No previous experience is required for other levels.

Taking place in Studio 4 at Geelong Arts Centre’s landmark Ryrie Street building , each workshop runs for 45 minutes, and is followed by a free 1:00pm performance of The Story of Pomi & Gobba for all workshop participants and guardians.

The performance runs for 30 minutes and registration is essential.

A full breakdown of workshop and performance times can be found over page.
