Projects Supported by Creative Engine

Geelong Arts Centre is thrilled to present the recipients of Creative Engine's first grant round for 2023.

The grants, both financial and value-in-kind studio access within the arts centre’s landmark Ryrie Street building, are designed to directly benefit local G21 artists and other artists with strong connections to our community in their pursuit to develop fresh, innovative and exciting work.

A creative exploration of the human condition of loneliness through theatre making. Bringing together elements of verbatim theatre, physical theatre, improvisation, original music, sound design, projection and spoken word.

A work grounded in the concept of inclusion and “equality” through creativity, Drawn In is the development of a completely accessible performance of art-making, sound and improvisation.

This project is the development of a multi-disciplinary artistic puppetry performance that will be whimsical, playful and inspiring. Aimed at young children but also with appeal for the whole family with universal themes and messages of courage and kindness.
