LIGHTS, CAMERA, SEANCE!
Libby Brockman
“Lights, Camera, Seance!” will be set in the 1940s, where Vue Grand will become the set of a, seemingly cursed, film set currently filming a ghost story - as night falls and the cameras roll, life begins to eerily imitate art.
It is inspired by famous theatre shows that Fleur and Libby share a love of. Libby will explore the idea of “magic” and fear-inducing storytelling inspired by Woman in Black, as The Vue Grand obviously lends itself to a ghost story, with co-owner Alice saying that guests are always enquiring about ghosts at the hotel.
"One of the best moments of ROARING was watching the excitement on everyone’s faces and the whispered cheers and gasps as they raced from room to room, with one audience member saying “Look around you, look at the joy you are bringing people in the middle of winter”, we’d love to explore how to bring even more joy to our story-telling, inspired by shows like The Play That Goes Wrong, Blythe Spirit and 39 Steps".
