CIRCUS ARTS: SKILLS FOR THE BEGINNER

Learn beginner circus arts skills in the classroom or at home with this series of videos. Presented by Benji Leeks from Fresh Creative Entertainment, learn the basics of juggling, poi, balancing and hula hooping.

Great for instructional use in the classroom, or to engage students from home, Benji walks viewers through simple steps to get started in practicing their circus skills.

Bonus worksheets are available to show students and teachers how to make their own juggling balls, poi and hoops.

BENJI LEEKS BIO

Benji started his career in America performing in a touring circus. On return to Australia he performed in the Australian Shakespeare Company’s “Much Ado Rock Musical” and “Midsummer Nights Dream”. He secured the lead in “Go Super” a children’s circus show as well as “Trio” and “Swan Lake” for Melbourne Dance Theatre to name a few. Benji has been instructing circus workshops for 15 years whilst actively performing as a circus artist. What Benji loves about teaching circus is that everyone's a winner, leaving with new skills and a sense of accomplishment.
