Sarah Auld, Director, Auld Planning & Projects
The Geelong Arts Centre Little Malop Street Redevelopment has brought together many great minds to contribute to the success of this important building for the Geelong region. One such person is Sarah Auld, Director of Auld Planning and Projects.
Sarah is the planning consultant for the redevelopment and responsible for the development and execution of the approvals strategy where she worked across the broader Project Team and with external stakeholders and decision makers through the design process, approvals and construction period.
“In addition to statutory approvals, I provide advice and support on a range of other matters such as legislative powers, land and the integration of the project to broader strategic policies and projects.”
The redevelopment of the Geelong Arts Centre was identified many years ago as a key catalyst project for the renewal of the city and for Sarah it is particularly significant to see it being delivered for Geelong and the broader region, “As a Geelong local, I definitely have soft spot for the project!
“My favourite element of the project is the Little Malop Street façade - the theatre curtains evoke such a sense of fun and excitement. The architecture will no doubt be a big talking point amongst all those who visit! I can’t wait to see ARM’s design vision come to life.”
The Geelong Arts Centre Little Malop Street Redevelopment is backed with a $140 million investment from the Victorian Government.
