Join The Australian Ballet Education & Outreach team at Geelong Arts Centre for fun and creative dance workshops for all levels.

WORKSHOPS

The workshops for 6–8-year-olds span over four days. On the final day, students will get the opportunity to perform to friends and family, along-side a performance by the Australian Ballet Education and Outreach team.

Explore the world of dance through warm-ups, dance exercises, and choreographic games.

You’ll learn about the performance of Balar Diburr, a new Contemporary-Ballet duet based on a First Nations story, performed by The Australian Ballet Education and Outreach team, and hear about costume design, music, and First Nations storytelling.

Expect to move, have fun and be creative!

The residency is designed to assist in:

•    Supporting confidence, resilience, and teamwork skills

•    Supporting individual needs and skill levels

•    Accessible to all children regardless of learning styles or physical abilities

•    No previous ballet experience is required

End of program performance will take place on Friday the 17th of April at 1pm, and will include performances by all students as well as a special performance of Balar Diburr by the Australian Ballet Education and Outreach Team. Click here for more information.
