For Schools

Explore Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture under the guidance of First Nations artists across the Geelong arts precinct.

Take your students on an immersive journey through Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture as they learn directly from First Nations artists and cultural practitioners across the Geelong arts precinct.

Throughout the day, students will explore Geelong Arts Centre, the National Wool Museum, Barwon Water, and Geelong Library & Heritage Centre, engaging in hands-on workshops, creative activities and cultural experiences that bring First Nations stories, knowledge and practices to life.

Through a dynamic program of rotating sessions, students will create, perform, listen, learn and connect as they explore First Nations perspectives across performing arts, visual arts and language.

Guided by First Nations artists, students will gain deeper insights into culture, storytelling, creativity and connection to Country, while building understanding, respect and appreciation for the world's oldest continuing cultures.

This exciting and inspiring experience encourages curiosity, sparks creativity, and leaves students with meaningful cultural connections and new ways of seeing and understanding the world.
