Geelong Writers presents the inaugural Geelong Short Play Festival
Six short plays with big stories. Six fifteen-minute plays packing a punch. Six plays celebrating the text. Six original plays, on stage, with engaging and delightful storylines. In short, six of the very best.
Prepare to be transported by spellbinding performances, lively dialogue and intriguing dilemmas. Witness tales of murder, nostalgia and fading memories, snappy exchanges and familial heists, forgiveness and renewal, a share-house crisis, and old loves rediscovering common ground.
These bite-sized morsels, promoting local writers and community theatre companies, will be performed by actors skilled in creating believable and recognisable characters. In May, a panel of highly qualified judges chose these six finalists from 35 submissions.
Join us for the debut of this addition to the Geelong theatre-scene.
