"An hour before I meet my dad for the first time, I'm half an hour late to a thirty minute soundcheck..."

When Connor Morel was 18, his dad walked into one of his gigs. They had never met before. That moment became the start of a question he's been trying to answer ever since: what makes a decent man? And what the f*** does that even mean?

Good Man is an unflinching new rock monologue that fuses blistering original songs with comedic, intimate storytelling. Backed by a live four-piece band, Connor takes audiences on a humorous yet moving journey through masculinity and the lessons we learn without even knowing it.

Equal parts concert and confessional, Good Man hums with the electricity of a gig, the warmth of a comedy night and the grit of a contemporary play. It's about the dumb stuff we do because of the dumb stuff our role models did. And the tiny choices we have to make every day. And what happens when we have to grow the hell up and be a role model ourselves.

Fresh from a remarkable debut season, Connor – one of Australia’s most exciting new voices in gig-theatre – delivers a show that will make you laugh, think, and maybe even call your dad.
