Join Freya List for a one-day masterclass in musical theatre dance.

In this hands-on arts learning experience, students will:

-    Work with Arts Centre Melbourne Creative Learning facilitators to explore what an identity as an artist and creative looks like, how it encompasses or enhances certain elements of personality, creativity and community.

-    Explore Geelong Arts Centre and reflect on its role in celebrating artist identities.

-    Engage in a 2-hour musical theatre dance workshop with Freya.    

About Freya
Freya List is a versatile choreographer, movement director and educator working across theatre, film, TV, company works and music. Freya was recently awarded the Green Room Award for Outstanding Choreography for The Grinning Man, and is a former winner for her work on Cruel Intentions: The 90’s Musical. Other recent stage credits include: Candide (Victorian Opera), Bright Star (Pursued by Bear- Green Room Nomination), National tours of Tick, Tick, Boom (StoreyBoard Entertainment) and Chess in Concert (StoreyBoard Entertainment). Freya is passionate about how movement can enhance text, music and the story being told.

Eligibility
Academy at Arts Centre Melbourne is a school holiday program for high-ability students in Years 4-12, supported by the Department of Education’s Student Excellence Program, through the Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series.

This program is targeted to students whose school reports show high-ability in The Arts. It is expected participants will have pre-existing dance skills, with performance experience or undertaking regular dance lessons. Click here to read more.
