IMMERSIVE | AWE-INSPIRING | SENSORY

RAIN: for babies and their carers’ is an intimate performance installation with live cello, created specifically for babes in arms and crawlers.

A space that welcomes babies to the world
A performance that honours and celebrates new lives
A time to wonder and wander together in the rhythm of the rain

RAIN is a mesmerising and intimate sensory experience for babies and their families in which they are invited to slow down, notice, and wonder. Audiences are invited to participate in an experience that responds to the generosity of rain. Carers and their littlest ones are immersed in an intimate and mindful installation space full of surprise, delight and opportunities for connection through sound, touch and performance.

A trio of performers on cello, voice, and movement act as gentle guides in a brand-new world of surprise, delight, and opportunities for connection through sound, touch, and performance.

Since its creation in 2013, RAIN’s touring schedule has included Hong Kong International Arts Carnival, Macao Cultural Centre, Lincoln Center NYC, Out of the Box Festival Brisbane, AWESOME Festival Perth, Sydney Opera House, Bunjil Place and Arts Centre Melbourne.

Truly beautiful- a wonderland, an inspiring dream world- every mother needs a sanctuary like this to retreat to, to re-energize.

Rachael, Melbourne mother

Billed as a 'mesmerising and immersive sensory experience', this show is all that and more.

The Barefoot Review

I think it is one of the best shows for very young audiences that I’ve come across in my career.
