RAW Comedy has been uncovering next gen Australian comedians for decades, and now’s your chance to get involved. Registrations for 2026 are open! Whether you’ve been making mates laugh for years, or you’re looking for an opportunity to try something new, the stage is set and waiting!
All you need is five minutes of original comedy material, and to sign up for a heat near you. The best of the bunch will earn a spot at the RAW Comedy National Grand Final during the 2026 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
The winner? Receives a trip to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and cements their place in Australian comedy history. RAW Comedy has marked the start for countless comedy legends, including Aaron Chen, Hannah Gadsby, Ronny Chieng, Anne Edmonds, Bron Lewis, Sam Campbell, and loads more.
