Teacher Advisory Group

Introducing our brand-new Creative Learning Teacher Advisory Group.

The Creative Learning team are looking for dedicated and passionate teachers to join the advisory group that will help shape the future direction of education programming at Geelong Arts Centre. The goal is to bring together a group of expert teachers who can help us ensure that the program is as beneficial and relevant as it can be for our region's students and teachers.

Meeting once each school term (four times per year) commencing in Term 3 2025, the Teacher Advisory Group will offer advice and support to the Geelong Arts Centre on:

• Programming design decisions for the Creative Learning programs
• Selection of performance works for future years of Creative Learning programming
• Identifying gaps in the current programming that Geelong Arts Centre could consider filling with new programs
• Identifying partnerships with artists or organisations that might strengthen the program offering
• Regular review of existing programs to ensure relevance to curriculum and benefit to schools
• Consultation on the schools engagement processes and marketing to an education audience

The Teacher Advisory will also assist with:

• Sharing information back to schools in the G21 region
• Strengthening the connection between Geelong Arts Centre and schools in the region
• Advocating for the Geelong Arts Centre Creative Learning program in teacher/school networks
• Other strategic consultation for the Geelong Arts Centre

Applications are welcome from all teachers. To become a member you must be actively working as a teacher/educator and have current VIT registration.

Positions on the advisory group are voluntary. In recognition of their contribution, members of the advisory group will receive tickets to the Geelong Arts Centre Season year-round programming and invitations to VIP events.
