Geelong Arts Centre is one of eleven Victorian State Government owned creative organisations under the umbrella of Creative Victoria. Since opening in 1981, Geelong Arts Centre has made significant artistic and cultural contributions to Geelong and the surrounding regions.
Geelong Arts Centre is currently undergoing a period of exciting and dynamic change. To meet the cultural needs of a growing population and help secure Geelong’s position as a global city, the Victorian State Government, through Creative Victoria, has committed funding for three stages of capital development. Stage One - the refurbishment of The Playhouse Theatre was completed in 2010. Stage Two - the Ryrie Street Redevelopment ($38.5m) was completed November 2019 and opened to the public on 7th November 2019. Stage Three - The Little Malop Street Redevelopment ($140m) commenced in 2019 and is planned for completion in 2023. This investment will result in a world-class arts facility becoming the cultural heart of Geelong and the G21 region.

About the role
The ICT Manager will oversee the strategic and operational management of Geelong Arts Centre’s ICT infrastructure, with a particular focus on leveraging the Microsoft suite to enhance business processes, productivity, and collaboration. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen to drive the effective use of technology across the organisation, supporting both administrative functions and artistic productions.
ICT Manager will be a key business partner with internal stakeholders and be pivotal in providing insights to assist with strategic decision-making at the executive level. The position is also accountable for assuring the contract deliverables and services of the ICT managed service providers (MSPs) are met and for managing the business relationships and contractual negotiations with those MSPs.
Essential qualifications and experience
To be successful in this role, your experience will include but will not be limited to:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ICT management with experience in managing Microsoft 365 environments, applications and services.
- Certification in Microsoft tenant or related technologies.
- An excellent customer service and outcomes focused view, with a passion for service excellence and quality, balanced with pragmatism and delivery.
- Excellent ability to work with and influence stakeholders across the business to assist in delivering tech strategy, including vendors and Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, coach and manage a high-performing team
- Significant experience in senior IT role, preferably within cloud-first environments and in organisations governed by government regulations and policy requirements.
- Experience in leading complex infrastructure and / or digital transformation projects to successful implementation.
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity and digital technologies. desirable.
Desirable qualifications and experience
- Postgraduate qualification in Information Technology or related field.
- Expertise in IT Industry frameworks and best practices, including ITIL, project management, Agile, product management, SIAM and IT Security.
Special requirements
- Flexibility in working hours to support daytime, evening, and some weekend work will be required as part of the normal hours of duty for this position.
