THE MOST DANGEROUS SHOW IN TOWN
Melbourne’s outlaw orchestra The Counterfeit ride into Geelong Arts Centre in February to make their Geelong debut — bringing a 12-piece posse, a giant silver screen and the iconic soundtracks of 1960s Italian Western cinema reimagined live on stage for The Music of Ennio Morricone & The Spaghetti West.
The Counterfeit, featuring the acclaimed vocals of Emily Lubitz, will journey through a sprawling back catalogue of dangerous soundtrack music, carefully curated into a two-set cinematic showdown. The set spans iconic themes and title tracks from films such as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, Once Upon a Time in the West and Django — alongside deep-cut gems, rarely performed cues and brand-new additions to the set for those folks who’ve ridden out with the posse before.
In true widescreen fashion, scenes from the original films will blaze across the giant screen in sync with the music, immersing the audience in the dust, danger, heartbreak and drama of the Spaghetti West.
A reimagining. A cinematic resurrection. A showdown between the big screen and the stage.
Don't get left in the dust folks... wrangle your posse, throw on the wide brim and pull the trigger on a ticket to experience these remarkable scores come alive through world-class musicianship.
