An elegant, formal end-of-year celebration where Geelong’s young musicians bring the stage to life.
Young Musicians in Concert – Student Summer Showcase is a music school tuition concert featuring young primary school performers on piano, guitar, and drums.
Each student has ninety seconds on stage to present the pieces they’ve worked on throughout term four, with instruments rotated for variety and audience engagement. These performers can hold a tune, carry rhythm, and deliver pieces with spirit, making every act an enjoyable experience as they step confidently into the spotlight.
The program features piano performances on the theatre’s Yamaha grand piano, supported by guitarists and drummers positioned either side of the stage. At-School Music tutors Andrew and Patrick also join a rock band for featured songs throughout the evening, showcasing a full live mix with drums, guitars, and analog amplification.
